First lj is acting wonky, today I got notifications from last week. WTF. I'm not ignoring you fl, I didn't know you were there.

Second, Aurora it's on. GO BIG BLUE.

Third, I started back at school this week. Hubby surprised me with this gorgeous Prada backpack. It's my first real Prada. I've had knockoffs in the past. School was fun. I'm going 2 days a week. My text book is the size of a phone book (remember them) and is full of things like footcandles and lenses. I'm not even the oldest person in the class. hehe.

Loving all the new Jack from Smash. Good job on all the updates Amerally! But I just found this picture of Norrington and it's one I've never seen before. I hope your James muses come back cause I would love some new Gillington or Sparrington. You know who you are.

Super busy as I get ready for Ace's b'day party tomorrow. It's a Giants theme and I even got Maggie a Giants bandana.

Have a great weekend everyone.

It was amazing, after a few minutes you forgot that the horses were puppets. Hubby, Andrew and I all cried like babies. Must see the movie now to see if it does the story justice. If you have the opportunity GO SEE IT, truly it was incredible.

MAGGIE LOVES THE SNOW.

In other news, I signed up for a theatrical lighting design class (should be fun). Ace turns 2 on the 25th. Having a party for him next Saturday (theme depends upon whether the Giants win the playoffs). If they win, the theme will be the Giants, if not, Toy Story. Bax is still my little Budda. He is just such a happy baby it amazes me. Ace is still an attention whore (my mom is probably laughing at me right now since I'm basically raising me)

I finally lost the rest of the baby weight thanks to Pilates. I tried hot yoga, but it's not for me. I almost passed out (I don't know if it was the heat or the smell of all those sweating bodies).

Going to see War Horse tonight (the play, not the movie). It got fantastic reviews so I am looking forward to it.

First, here's a new picture of Jack.

BIG NEWS

We adopted a Beagle named Maggie Mae. I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out my new camera. She is one year old and very small (about 25 lbs). Benny was over 60 lbs so she seems very small to us.
We've only had her a few days, but she is very sweet with the boys and housebroken so all is good. She does love to climb though. You would think that she's a cat. I found her on the kitchen counter this morning and I have no idea how she got there. In other news, Ace turns 2 on the 25th so I have a party to plan. I need a theme. Bax is teething again, oh joy. Hubby is going to California next week and then when he gets back we're gonna go for a weekend alone in NY State to ski if there is snow or just chill if there isn't. My inlaws will watch the boys and Maggie so we can relax.

I got the paperwork for school now I just have to decide if I want to put myself through it right now. Still unsure if I can handle it with everything else. That's all for now.

CRAZY BUSY - but I did finish the Christmas shopping, get the tree up and take the babes to meet Santa. Now that was painful, Ace started crying so Bax started crying. I'm lucky Santa didn't start crying. Today we are going to brunch and then buying christmas lights and ornaments cause ours got lost somewhere. Hubby wanted a big tree so the rest of the day will be spent decorating it. Saw Priscella Queen of the Desert with the amazing Will Swenson (I met him when he was Berger in Hair)(so cute)

Here's some vintage Jack from This Life and This Life + 10

Here's Jack from Smash - I love how he's sitting here. sigh.

Hubby's work Christmas Party is this week and then later I'll be having a smashing time with a friend of mine.

Just got home from Christmas shopping to find all 3 of my men asleep on the sofa. So cute.
Went to the shelter today to see puppies. Still deciding if I want to potty train a puppy at the same time as I potty train Ace. There is only so much urine a person can clean up in a day. No dogs there caught my heart anyway.

Puppy of the day

Found some great presents, I already bought Andrew tickets to see Seminar with me but I found him a great surprise today too. Can't figure out what to get hubby or my other 2 brothers. It is so much harder to shop for men than for women. I already got all my sister in laws done. I found a vintage Rockettes Christmas Spectacular poster to send to Cora (she was a Rockette in her younger days) Lot's more to do.
The boys are getting way too many toys from Santa and a few cute outfits. One of magazine dealers contacted me with a few magazines, but I have them already. I think that there are only a few more out there that we haven't seen. The search continues.

Here's some very pretty vintage Jack from This Life.

SUNDAY NIGHTS ARE THE BEST FOR ME.
IT STARTS WITH ONCE UPON A TIME - I LOVE HOW IT KEEPS SWITCHING BETWEEN MAINE AND FAIRYLAND AND I LOVE THE EVIL WITCH (OR AS SOME OF YOU MAY REMEMBER HER TRINA DECKER FROM SWINGTOWN)

NEXT UP IS THE WALKING DEAD WHICH IS EVEN BETTER THIS YEAR. IF ANDREW LINCOLN DOESN'T DESERVE AN EMMY FOR THIS, MAYBE THEY SHOULD JUST GIVE HIM AN OSCAR. HE IS MORE THAN BRILLIANT HERE.

FINALLY HOMELAND. QUIETER THAN THE OTHERS BUT ACTUALLY MORE SCARY BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING

TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE WATCHING. I AM WAITING VERY UNPATIENTLY FOR DOWNTON ABBEY, SHERLOCK, DR WHO CHRISTMAS SPECIAL AND OF COURSE SMASH. IS THERE SOMETHING YOU RECOMMEND THAT I'M MISSING?

Spent the past few days organizing Bax's christening. The priest who baptised me and my brothers and married me and baptised Ace is coming out of retirement to christen Bax. I'm not in the least religious, but I like tradition and this makes me feel like my parents are there too. My dad was a deacon at this church and was a friend of this priest.

Went shopping with Andrew and found this. Not only is it Navy Blue (my best color) but the peplum hids the belly I've yet to lose. Of course, the girl in this picture is 7 inches taller than me, but it looks good on me too. Just have to have the hem raised.

Also had to buy Bax a christening outfit since he is too big to wear the one we bought Ace. Hubby loves this one cause it looks like a little suit.

We've arranged to have a little party at a restaurant near our apartment, so now all I have to do is the invites.

I am LOVING being back home in NYC. Going tonight to see "Man and Boy". And I just got tickets for "Seminar" with Alan Rickman.

First, heavy rain, then sleet and then snow. What a mess. It's clear today but still cold and a mess to get around.

I have not spotted Jack Davenport around town yet, but in the process of just shopping and running errands, I saw Juliana Margulies on Broadway, Debra Messing on Madison and Edie Falco was actually filming on my street. There are film trucks all over Manhattan.

Getting settled in and reconnecting with friends I haven't seen in a year. We all had our check ups and Bax is gaining weight like a champion. I've lost another 6 lbs (another 12 to go) and Ace is perfect for his age. He's started to speak in small sentences and repeats words after me when I read to him. My brilliant son. :)

There's still a Benny sized whole in my heart. Some folks tell me to get another dog right away and some tell me to wait. I know we'll have another dog eventually but I am so not ready yet.

I've just been reading in the local paper about 9 young people all connected in one way or another with a local high school (Manasquan HS) who have killed themselves in the past 3 years. Most of them by walking into a speeding train, the other 3 by hanging. I never heard of such a thing. I know that if you have a family member or a close friend that committed suicide, that you are more likely than average to commit it too, but some of these people didn't know each other. Is there such a thing as contagious suicide? This story really upset me. Is there a more violent death than walking in front of a train. And what of their families and the poor train conductors.
