MY FAVORITE MOVIES

I've been revisting my favorite movies (since summer tv is such crap) and I decided to share them with you. You may be surprised to know that I do watch more than Jack Davenport movies, though he is definitely represented in my list.

Today I re-watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. A definite classic. The amazing Audrey Hepburn and very handsome George Preppard. I also read the story by Truman Cappote and the movie sticks close to the book. This is one of those movies that is a love story to NYC, showing it in the best light. The music is amazing, the clothes trend setting. This movie more or less invented the little black dress. All in all a definite recommendation, or as the movie guy says - thumbs up. Give it a look, you won't regret it.

Thank you Lulu - what happy memories that film brings back - I was alive when it first came out. Photobucket Always wanted something from Tiffanys so years later I asked a boss to go there and he brought me pack of playing cards. I used to pack my lunch in my Tiffany carrier bag to eat in St James' Park, so much classier than Fortnums or Jacksons! Then when I tired of wowing my fellow scoffers I gave the bag to a member of the Ephemera Society; he was very glad to have it.

I used to pass by Tiffanys every day. And they always took the jewelry out of the window each night. I don't know if they really did it back when they made the movie too, or just started to do it later. Anyway it would make no sense for her to look at empty windows.

I like their bags and blue boxes too.

I love that movie! Who can forget George Peppard. Hubba! Hubba! He was Fred..no. Paul. No. Fred... One in the same. The best romantic scene on film. In the rain none the less!
