MY FAVORITE MOVIES

When I was a kid my mom used to take me to a small theatre by Lincoln Center to see classic movies. So my first experience with Gone with the Wind and Casablanca was on the big screen. I thank her for this and for my love of classic movies.
Today Isabel is coming over to spend the night as her hubby and my hubby are going to a ball game. On the program are my two favorite Hitchcock movies.
REAR WINDOW
AND VERTIGO
Both star the amazing Jimmy Stewart. The beautiful Grace Kelly is in Rear Window, my mom idolized her and I probably still have the Life magazine somewhere with Grace Kelly's wedding in it that my mom saved. This movie is about voyerism and murder. I think all Hitchcock's movies are classics, but this one is my favorite.
I like Vertigo for an entirely different reason. After NYC I love San Francisco. One of my brothers went to college there and My family spent a month there the summer I was 12. My dad was attending an engineering thing and we all went along. San Francisco is the most beautiful city. It is built on hills and everywhere you look is an amazing view. This movie is a love letter to San Francisco. Besides, I don't like heights either.
Whether you are a Hitchcock fan or not, or if you only know Birds or Psycho, give these movies a look see.
