The mail just came and you guys are so gonna love me.

I heard a rumor about this article when I started collecting over 2 years ago. One of the dealers told me that she had sold one just before I contacted her. So I have been looking for this article for over 2 years. It's from 1997 and it's your Christmas present. I'll post it Christmas week and that's all I'm gonna say about that.


I'm considering making my journal friends only. I seem to be posting more and more personal stuff and hubby is paranoid (because of his job). So if you are a lurker and you want to join in the Jack fun, friend me.

I think I want this to be my friends only banner. What do you think?

i believe that if your hubby is worried maybe its not a bad idea make your journal friends only, some people make it friends only since the very first post.

So if it's flist does that mean your posts appear on your friends' "friends page" so other friends of your friends can also see your posts? I don't really know what others can view.

I found you through a google search and since then, to coin a phrase, my life has not been the same. Does going friends mean that others out in the cyber wilderness looking for Jack would miss out.

Or will you just post your RL posts on a friends list?

...... Oh and I do agree entirely with yours and hubby's concerns, very sensible to think about it.

I'm not sure about how it all works - that's why I haven't done anything yet. I think if you make it friends only - only people on your friends list can read any of your entries. I'm not sure how you control who friends you.

Otherwise you can friends lock post by post. But being a person with 39 usepics and almost always using my default I don't know how careful I would be with that.

So, you're thinking of joining the "friends only" ranks, yes?

I don't think you can control who friends you, but if there is a way, please let me know! But, if someone friends you, they can't see your f-locked entries until you friend them back.

My fiance asked me to f-lock mine, since I have pictures and whatnot on there. I think it was the right move, especially since, as I mentioned, I want a job in civil service. It is really nice knowing who sees your entries. I ended up going all the way back with every entry and f-locking them. It was a pain, but it was worth it.
