Three’s a crowd

He may be happily married to fellow actor Michelle Gomez, but it seems that Jack Davenport, the Pirates of the Caribbean star, is no fan of polygamy.

The Los Angeles-based 37 year-old cites one of his favourite American television programmes as Big Love, about a Mormon family of three wives and one husband.

“Does it make me think polygamy’s a good option? You must be joking. With the best will in the world, marriage is a great institution. But in triplicate?” he tells Radio Times.
