But CJ didn't age even through the boys grew up and then didn't age. If you don't age on the island, wouldn't they still be kids and where did CJ come from?
I think with CJ it was she was at an age where people don't age as much - basically they cast her to save on make up. It could also be the island keeping her young like Richard - or she was the island in a human form.
Now the boys not aging anymore. In my mind, I think it is because they are both connected to the island and the island is keeping them young (a la Richard)- or CJ killed them as adults and they are ghosts or gods.
They did not explain where CJ came from, but I am assuming Richard was not the first person to wash up on the shores of the island or CJ is a physical form the island took to help protect itself.
CJ was this crazy lady living on an island when a woman was washed ashore. She gave birth to twins, but CJ wanted to raised the twins herself so she killed the mom. She wanted one of the boys to become the protector of the island and that boy grew up to be Jacob.
I got that, but what is the light? What is worse than death and if the brother of Jacob is dead, why was he still alive when Jacob was killed. My brain hurts.
I guess I thought the light was sort of like the fruit that Adam and Eve picked, like ultimate knowledge except the smoke monster came out of it which would also explain why they explained it earlier this season as evil and the island was keeping it in.
I figure that was worse than death is either immortality or being the Smoke Monster like Locke.
LOST cannot be explained any more than the meaning of life can be explained. Rent the first season, it's the best TV I've ever seen. We have lived with and loved the characters for six seasons. They are all flawed people with things in their past they regret living on an island with a mysterious force. People keep getting killed, some for wrong doing, some by murder and some by accident, some by the smoke monster. Their pasts come back to haunt them, literally sometimes. There is some electromagnetic thing going on with the island that probably caused the plane to crash.
Even dedicated viewers like me really don't understand what's going on. I'm afraid it's going to end as lost as it started. But I'm hanging in there.
I did watch most of the first season. I lost interest in the 2nd season and now I'm watching but not understanding too much. Who is CJ and why did she never age? Why did her boys age, at least until they grew up and then stopped aging? How could Jacob's brother be dead and also be alive? My brain feels like applesauce.

Do we know for sure he's still alive?
