TALES FROM THE LEFT COAST.
ACE - Every day is something new. He is sitting up by himself and making noises and trying so hard to speak. We have baby proofed the apartment because it's a matter of time before he is off and running (or off and crawling). This is a very cute age.
BENNY - Is in love with a German Shephard that he met at the dog park. He drags me there every morning so he can see her. Unfortunately, I don't think she feels the same way. Time will tell. BTW her name is Flora.
HUBBY - Notice he gets third billing. smirk. He is working insane hours 12-14 a day, but says it will calm down when the other partner returns from vacation and they can share the load.
ME - Cora took me to play Mahjongg at the community center in North Beach. What a laugh. I didn't know what I was doing, but had lots of fun. They loved Ace and passed him around. It was like he had 35 Asian grandmas. Hubby, Ace and I went to lunch at the Cliff House. This place has an interesting history. It was first built in 1863 and I think it is in it's 4th regeneration now. Anyway, you eat perched over the Pacific Ocean (floor to ceiling windows) and it is absolutely beautiful.

I'm enjoying learning about my new home town. I do get lost at least once a day though.
APARTMENT - The wrong dining table was delivered. AARG. I know in the scheme of things that this is no big deal, but I have company coming and no where to feed them. They sent me a Green Marble top table - I wouldn't let them take it off the truck. Can you imagine those poor delivery men hoisting a marble table top up three stories and then me refusing it?
Anyway, I need to go find a table and chairs for the roof deck, or tomorrow people will have to eat standing up.
FAMILY - Bro B and his wife are coming here for a long weekend over Labor Day. He went to UC Berkeley and wants to check out his old stomping grounds. It should be fun to have him show us around the city.

I LOVE when they stick out over the Ocean like that and you go at sunset. It's so romantic.
