Hey guys
I just got the most fantastic idea from Rum Inspector. How about I decorate the babe's room like the age of sail? Have an old map painted on the wall, like Becket's? Maybe something on the ceiling? I have to research this, it could be great. What do you think?

model ships from the era
as you came up with, old map painted on the walls with "x" marks the spot
clock that looks like an old pocketwatch (they have a little cute one on Barnes and Noble website, I have it in my bathroom)
an antique ship's compass, either a real one, or one painted somewhere

I think it's a great idea and def falls into the "male child" category. Only I think your son may be in danger of wanting to go to sea.

Only...are you sure you wouldn't get tired of it? Will you always love the Age of the Sail? To put a finer point on it, considering the fact that he's well aware of your admiration for the Admiral, are you sure your husband won't kill you?

Miss Molly is looking for websites and books for me to research.
The beauty of a nursery is that the room doesn't stay that way forever. However, if the map is well done, that can stay.
Haven't told hubby yet. He is so freaked out by the stock market I don't think he'll mind what I do to the room. And after the fight with his mom, I'm not even gonna tell her.
I was thinking that I can have the Dauntless painted on the map with the admiral at the helm hehe. I know some great mural artists from school.
Still haven't told A about the invite thing. I guess I better this weekend. Lulu
